Use iPhone/iTouch as Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
| Okay well I am getting a PC connected to a TV and I wanted a wireless keyboard and mouse for it so I could sit in bed and use it but not anymore. There is a new app called Touchpad that allows you to have a wireless mouse and keyboard connected to your computer via VNC using iPhone/iTouch.
Its very easy to use and works with any VNC server. Here is the video:
as an Installer source. For those, like me, who don’t wanna wait for Installer to refresh you can download and install it manually from here:
If you need more help here is the original site: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/Ejsherwan/projects/touchpad |

20 Websites With Unique Layouts
When you are creating a new website you may be inspired by seeing other sites that feature unique layouts. The 20 sites listed here don’t simply use a typical two or three column layout. Many of them use background images to interact with and control the layout in some unique way. Some of them I really like, and some I’m not sold on, but all are unique in one way or another.
Popmatik - Freelance web designer Rob Leach uses a unique layout for his portfolio site. The site uses a background image of a bottle and the content of the site appears to be on the label of the bottle.

Bird-Electron EZ17-B iPod Recycling Speaker

I like the planet as much as the next guy (unless I’m standing next to the commander of an alien force bent on destroying the Earth, in which case I like the planet much more than the next guy), and since Apple is trying to be more environmentally friendly I figured I might as well give it a go myself. The Bird-Electron EZ17-B iPod Recycling Speaker looks like it might help me achieve two goals: help the planet, and own more gadgets.
The Bird-Electron EZ17-B allows you to both reduce and reuse all at the same time, even while you try to figure out what its name means. That’s right, this little $40 wonder magically transforms the package your Shuffle (2nd or 3rd gen) or Nano (1st or 2nd Gen) was contained in into a small speaker. Chances are that this little speaker isn’t going to blow your mind in terms of volume or fidelity, but it will make you feel just a tad bit better than your fellow man and when it comes right down to it isn’t that why we all use Apple products to begin with?

Google May Knee Cap Domain Tasting
Google is said to be considering banning newly registered domain names from participating in the Google for Domain Names program, severely hampering the practice of domain tasting.According to Jay Westerdal at Domain Tools, Google would block all domains if they are less then five days old. In Jay’s words, “This potential new policy change by Google could stop all Domain Tasting in its tracks.”
Domain tasting, for those not familiar with it, is the practice of registrants using the five-day grace period at the beginning of a domain registration to test the marketability of a domain name (full Wikipedia entry here).
I’m a little hesitant in suggesting that Google’s move will completely wipe out domain testing, because there are no shortage of alternative advertising programs for domains, however Westerdal is a heavily involved in the industry, and he would suggest that Google is where most domain tasters are generating revenue:
It was disclosed in court that one partner that Google had was generating as much as $3 million dollars a month from the practice and that was after Google’s revenue share. Oversee.net and other companies have been using this practice for years and it will have a direct impact on them. The gravy train of free money might be coming to a halt very fast. This policy change at Google should be announced to the channel partners soon and it will have a huge echoing impact on the Industry….I think this is a return of the “Be Good” motto Google had a few years ago. Google has been quietly enabling this practice for years now. This is a smart policy move on Google’s part to ward off impending litigation that might have hit them in the coming months.

500XL Giant iPod Earbud Speakers

By Evan Ackerman
I’ve never thought that the iPod earbuds were that great, but I guess they’ve become something of a tech fashion statement. If you’d like to leave people in absolutely no doubt that you’re cool enough to be listening to an Apple product, consider getting yourself a pair of these desktop size iPod earbud speakers, which are supposed to be 500 times larger than the originals. They have a built-in amp and they’ll run on USB, AC, or battery power, so you can in fact attach them to your iPod and wander around, trying to stuff them into your ears. They’ll be available soon from Perpetual Kid for $40.
